Definition

A space is a dedicated area where a team keeps work and knowledge together. In Confluence, a space is the “container” for related pages, blogs, and files—basically a shared workspace or mini knowledge base for a project, initiative, or department. In Jira, you’ll usually meet the same concept as a project: a place where work items (issues) live, with its own people, permissions, and settings. Use spaces/projects to keep information tidy, make ownership clear, and help everyone find the right content fast.
