Bitbucket is Atlassian’s home for Git-based code collaboration. Teams use it to host repositories, manage branches, and share changes safely without passing ZIP files around or losing track of “the latest version.” In a typical workflow, Bitbucket acts as the remote repository that developers push to and pull from, making it the central meeting point for code review and teamwork around commits.
