Initial AGC release

This is the debut release for Atlassian Government Cloud. It includes all features and capabilities introduced in the standard version up to version 9.37.0, optimized for the AGC environment.

Customer Portal support

Template restrictions

We have introduced Template restrictions to give you granular control over who can see and use specific templates. This ensures that users only interact with templates relevant to their specific needs.

App permissions

New administrative App Permissions allow for better governance of the tool. Admins can now define which users or groups have the authority to configure and manage global template settings.

Extended template scopes: Work Item & Transition Screens

Application scopes have been expanded to include the Work item view and Transition screen. This allows templates to be applied at more touchpoints throughout the issue lifecycle.

New Get Started page

We’ve introduced a “Get started” page to streamline the onboarding process. This guide helps new users set up their first templates and understand core features quickly.

Configuration UI refresh

The configuration interface has received a visual refresh. This update improves navigation and provides a more modern, intuitive experience when managing your templates.

Enable/ Disable templates

A new Enabled column has been added to the Template library table. This allows you to toggle the status of a template directly from the list view without opening individual settings.

Cascading select for Parent templates

We now support Cascading Select fields for Parent templates within the Create issue view. This ensures that dependent field values are correctly populated based on parent selections.

Automation support: Use Template action

A new Use template action is now available for Jira Automation. Users can now trigger the application of specific templates automatically based on the defined workflow rules - either on already existing issues or while creating new ones.

Introduction of App editions

We have introduced App editions to offer more flexible scaling options. This allows organizations to select the specific feature set that best aligns with their project management requirements.

Team field support for Child templates

Child templates now support the Team field. This improvement allows for better alignment and ensures accurate cross-functional tracking for generated sub-tasks.

Action items support

We have added support for the ”/” (slash) Action within text fields during template configuration. This enables users to quickly insert elements, such as checklists, or format content using familiar Jira shortcuts.

Audit log

A new Audit log feature has been added to track configuration changes. This provides admins with a clear history of updates made to templates for better security and accountability.

Bulk edit for Parent templates

Users can now perform bulk changes to spaces and work types for Parent templates. This significantly reduces the manual effort required when migrating or updating multiple templates at once.

Affects version field support

We have added support for the Affects Version field within Parent template configurations, allowing for more precise release tracking when creating new issues.
