Organization Methods
As your testing project grows, keeping your Test Cases organized becomes crucial for maintaining efficiency and clarity. Because ATM is built seamlessly into Jira, you can organize your testing elements using both dedicated ATM features and native Jira functionalities.
Depending on your needs, you can structure your work using three complementary methods:
- ATM Repository: A dedicated, folder-based tree view for building a hierarchical structure of your Test Cases. Ideal for organizing tests by module or feature.
- Test Plans: A way to group Test Cases logically for execution. Perfect for planning releases, sprints, or regression cycles.
- Jira Fields: Leveraging native Jira fields (like Components or Custom Fields) to add metadata and categorize Test Cases across different dimensions.
These methods do not compete with each other - they work together to give you full control over your testing assets.
