Using Jira Fields

Test Cases in Appsvio Test Management (ATM) are Jira work items. You can group them with Jira fields such as Components or custom fields. You then find each group with JQL, the Jira search language.

What Jira fields give you

• You can find Test Cases by any Jira field, and by ATM fields such as ATM Repository.
• With JQL, you can show any set of Test Cases on Jira dashboard gadgets. Save the query as a filter and use it as the source of a gadget.

JQL examples

Replace the space key QA, the work type name, and the field values with your own. The work type name comes from your Testing Project.

Test Cases by component

1project = QA AND issuetype = "Test Case" AND component = "Payments"

This finds the Test Cases of the Payments component.

Test Cases in a folder

1project = QA AND issuetype = "Test Case" AND "ATM Repository" = "Regression"

This finds the Test Cases in the Regression folder of the Test Repository. See Test Repository.

To include the Test Cases from all subfolders of a folder, use the atmRepositoryFolders() JQL function:
