Appsvio Test Management (ATM) is built into Jira. ATM has two parts: views on work items, such as Test Cases, Test Plans, Test Campaigns, and Test Executions, and global app pages in the Apps menu. The Test Repository is a tab in your space.
App pages in the Apps menu
In the Jira sidebar on the left, go to Apps › Test Management. The menu has four global app pages.
- Get started: Jira administrators create a sample project here with Create sample project. See Quick Start.
- Testing Projects: the list of your Testing Projects. Click a Testing Project tile to open its page with the configuration and the dashboard. See Testing Elements and Testing Project Dashboard.
- Import: the import wizard and the history of imports. See Import.
- Reports: the Traceability report and the Coverage report. See Reports.

The top right corner of the Testing Projects page has the Create new button and, for Jira administrators only, the Configuration button.
Create new starts a new Testing Project. Every user sees the list of Testing Projects, but only Jira administrators can create and change them. Configuration opens the global settings for environments and test steps. See Global Environments, Test Case Columns, and Permissions.

ATM views on work items
Test Cases, Test Plans, Test Campaigns, and Test Executions are Jira work items. You work on them in the standard Jira work item view, where ATM adds its own tabs.
- On a Test Case, the Test Management panel has the Test Case tab with the test steps. The other tabs are Requirements, Test Plans, Test Executions, and Test Case Executions.
- On a Test Plan, the Test Management panel has the Test Cases, Test Executions, and Test Campaigns tabs.
- On a Test Execution, there are the Test Case Executions and Defects tabs. The â–¶ button in a row of the Test Case Executions table opens the execution window.
- On a Test Campaign, there are the Test Plans and Defects tabs.
- On a requirement, the Test Management panel shows the linked Test Cases and the coverage.

Test Repository in your space
The Test Repository is part of the space that holds your Test Cases. Open that space and select the ATM Repository tab.
The page is titled Test Cases Repository and lists your Test Cases in folders. The Testing Project: label above the folder tree shows which Testing Project the repository belongs to. See Test Repository.

Jira search and dashboards
Test Cases and most other testing objects are Jira work items, so you can find them with JQL. For example, this query finds the Test Cases in one folder of the Test Repository.
"ATM Repository" = "folder_name"With JQL, you can also show the Test Cases you choose on Jira dashboard gadgets. See Using Jira Fields.
You can extend testing objects with custom fields. You can also use Jira workflows for them, for example to approve Test Cases or Test Plans. See ATM in Jira.
