Test Case Columns
By default, each test step in Appsvio Test Management (ATM) has three fields: Action, Data, and Expected Result. In the Test steps configuration, you choose which of these fields testers see and in what order. This is a global setting of the app.
For example, if your team doesn’t use the Data field, turn it off. New steps on Test Cases then have only Action and Expected Result.

Open the Test steps configuration
- In the Jira sidebar, go to Apps › Test Management › Testing Projects.
- Click Configuration in the top right corner of the page. Only Jira administrators see this button. See Permissions.
- The Configuration page has two sections: Environments and Test steps. Select Test steps.

The page says: “Configured fields are visible in Test Steps. Disabling a field hides it but retains all previously entered data.”
Action, Data, and Expected Result are text fields with formatting options. They are default fields, so you can’t delete them. Each field has a toggle.
Turn a field off or on
Click the toggle in the row of the field. You can turn off any field, but at least one field must stay on.
Change the order of fields
Drag a field to a new position in the list.
