Permissions
Some actions in Appsvio Test Management (ATM) are available only to Jira administrators. Other actions depend on the permissions users have in Jira. The table lists these actions, with links to the pages that describe them.
| Action | Who can do it | More information |
|---|---|---|
| Install ATM in Jira | Only Jira administrators. | Installation |
| Create the sample project with Create sample project on the Get started page | Only Jira administrators. | Quick Start |
| See the Configuration button on the Testing Projects page, with global settings for environments and test steps | Only Jira administrators. | Navigation, Global Environments, Test Case Columns |
| See the list of Testing Projects and star them | All users. | Testing Elements |
| Create, edit, disable, or enable a Testing Project | Only Jira administrators. | Testing Elements |
| Delete a Testing Project | Only Jira administrators. | Testing Elements |
| Import Test Cases from a file | All users. If you aren’t a Jira administrator, the import doesn’t create new custom field options, components, or fix versions. | Import |
| Give testing objects separate permissions | Possible when the objects are in separate Jira spaces. Each space can then have its own Project Permissions in Jira. For example, a dedicated space for Test Cases lets you set their permissions apart from Test Executions and Test Plans. | Jira Space |
| See the progress of a Test Campaign | Depends on Jira permissions. The progress counts only the Test Plans and Test Executions that the user can see in Jira. Two people with different permissions can see different progress on the same Test Campaign. | Test Campaign |
