Appsvio Test Management (ATM) is built on Atlassian Forge. Forge is Atlassian’s platform for cloud apps, and Forge apps run on Atlassian infrastructure.

ATM stores all its data, including attachments, on the Atlassian side. ATM data never leaves Atlassian.

Jira and the Atlassian cloud

Architecture diagram. Inside the Atlassian Cloud, Isolated Cloud, or Government Cloud boundary, a Jira user works in Jira Cloud, which holds Requirements, Test Cases, Test Plans, Test Campaigns, Test Executions, and Defects as work items. Jira Cloud exchanges data with the ATM app on Atlassian Forge, which keeps Test Case Executions and stores app data and attachments in ATM data storage on Forge storage (SQL, KVS, OS). An external API client calls the ATM REST API, which runs requests in the ATM app. No data leaves Atlassian.

Requirements, Test Cases, Test Plans, Test Campaigns, Test Executions, and Defects are Jira work items. Test Case Executions are ATM’s own objects. ATM keeps them, together with attachments, on the Atlassian side too.
