What's new: January 2025

Written by Aleksandra | Feb 20, 2025 9:34:22 AM

January, the longest month of this year, has finally come and gone and February is just blasting off. We’ve kicked off 2025 on a great note, with lots of activities, updates and meetings. Follow us along, while we take you on a road trip.

Let’s start with some app updates
that we know you are craving.

Issue Merger wins the Codegeist 2024 ‘Best Connect to Forge App’!

We were playing around with Issue Merger and with Atlassian’s Codegeist 2024 around the corner, we settled on applying with an iteration of Issue Merger - after Forge-migration and with the Rovo Agent. We are excited to share the news that we have won one of the categories! You can find our app on Atlassian Marketplace and in a dedicated collection - check it out and let us help you avert any crisis!

What about the Data Center version of Issue Merger?

In this case, we are keeping it cool as a cucumber and maintaining the OG Issue Merger legacy. With small updates, we now support the Jira 10 version and thanks to the release of 10.4 version - the Server version is also compatible with this update.

Perspective | Custom attributes for Jira - a new era of data collection

Our makeovers continue, as we took a closer look at Customer and Organizations Managements and pondered how we could have its skills applied to a wider range. When inspiration hit us, change was imminent and Perspective came alive.

So what have we done?

We are not going to spoil everything, however allow us to give you some snippets. First of all, the app is now available not only for Jira Service Management, but also Jira itself. Perspective’s capabilities have been extended to accommodate our users’ needs, as of now they can have attributes collected from a variety of objects - Projects, Releases, Components, Customer and Organizations. The wider capacity of the add-on makes it a perfect tool not only for support teams and service agents, but also project managers and product owners. With a centralized view of any data, the users can put their minds to the most important aspects - interpretation, planning and avoiding the risks to the best of their capabilities. The configuration gives the users a possibility to decide, which objects should be included in gathering of the data and two ways of viewing the details - table view or directly on the issue - grant an easy access and crystal-clear format of the information.

Projects Table-View - just one of new perspectives of our add-on.

In the world of predefined issues with ITA

You probably already know that we are big fans of templates and the benefits that go along with them. And Atlassian must be aware of it, because Issue Templates Agent received the Spotlight badge! If you would like to learn more about simplifying your Jira workflows, we invite you to our new article, where we talk about projects with predefined issues.

And what about the features?

Now, Issue Templates Agent officially supports action fields! Easily create and share Definition of Done, making sure that everyone involved in the issue is on the same page. Applying templates with checklists allows the users to swiftly clean their Jira instance and keep the clutter of minuscule tasks far away.

We can also proudly say that as of now, our add-on takes part in Early Access Program App Editions! It is now available in two versions - Standard and Advanced, the latter offering premium features such as template audit log and issue creation from templates in REST API. Sign up and upgrade your templates now!

Events and Partnerships

Networking and learning others’ points of view are key aspects of any work. Our trip to Seibert Group headquarters was exactly about that. With our main tasks binding us to computers, it has been a great opportunity to meet in real life and join the lively discussions in person. Thank you once again for hosting us - Julian, Clara, Martin, Lukas, Sarah and Nadine!
